Colombia in Exile: Presentation of Report of the Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence and Non-Repetition

The Final Report of the Colombian Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence and Non-Repetition (CEV) was published in 2022. Over three years the CEV recorded nearly 30,000 interviews, including more than 2,000 with persons outside of Colombia, in 24 countries including Canada, the largest undertaking of its kind ever by a truth commission.
Carlos Martín Beristain is a commissioner of the CEV, coordinator of "Exilio: Colombia fuera de Colombia", report on Colombians in exile, doctor of medicine and psychology, with 25 years experience working with communities impacted by human rights violations. Diana Barrero Jaramillo is a researcher, educator, and community organizer, specialized in transitional justice and memory in Colombia, PhD candidate at University of Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and member of CEV in Toronto.
