Biography
I am interested in colonial and postcolonial histories of law, constitutionalism, state, and nation-making. My dissertation traces the history of preventive detention laws in early postcolonial India in relation to the formation and everyday practices of rule of law and democracy. I am also part of the collaborative specialization in South Asian Studies.
