Working Dissertation
Description
My dissertation research will focus on Fenian movement's communications network. In addition to analyzing their media's content, form, and reception, the project will assess how national and regional contexts influenced the Fenians' communicative efforts, which differed significantly in the United States and the British Empire.
Biography
I am a historian of the nineteenth-century United States, with an interest in its transnational influences and context. I study the relationships between communications media, culture, and power.
