Biography
Hongyun Lyu is a PhD candidate in history, specializing in the history of science and technology and environmental history. His dissertation explores how the electric power shaped the state power amidst socialist reforms, the Cultural Revolution, and market reform in the second half of the twentieth century and early twenty-first century China. He also publishes articles and book reviews in the Korean Journal for the History of Science, Journal of Chinese Cinemas, Environmental History, and Society & Space.
