Biography : 

Jonathan Bayer is the University College Fellow in Early American History. He holds a doctorate in History from the University of Western Ontario and a master's in History from the University of Windsor. He has taught as a sessional lecturer at University College, the University of Toronto Mississauga, the University of Western Ontario, Wilfrid Laurier University, Huron University College, and Brescia University College.

At the University of Toronto, Dr. Bayer teaches courses on such topics as racialization in colonial America and the United States, Canadian-American relations, the early American press, and the historical and modern contexts of Hamilton: An American Musical.
