Biography : 

Anna Herran is a historian of Modern Europe. Her research looks at the interactions between memory, identity, and history in multi-ethnic societies, focusing on Central and Southeastern Europe and the Baltic states. Her current research looks comparatively at commemorations of national holidays in The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, and the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
