Imre Szeman, Jennifer Wenzel  and Patricia Yaeger, eds., Fueling Culture: 101 Words for Energy and Environment (New York: Fordham University Press, 2017).

Wine & Cheese to be served. Copies of both edited collections will be available for sale at the book launch.

Ruth Sandwell is Professor in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and in the History Department at the University of Toronto. She is the author of various articles about the history of energy in Canada, and editor of the recently published Powering Up Canada: Power, Fuel and Energy since 1600. (Montreal and Kingston: McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2016).

Imre Szeman is currently Canada Research Chair in Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta and Adjunct Professor of Research and Graduate Studies at Ontario College of Art & Design University. In January 2017, he will begin teaching at the University of Waterloo as a Full Professor of Drama, English and Speech Communications. He is the co-director of the Petrocultures Research Group and director of the collaborative group research project, After Oil: Explorations and Experiments in the Future of Energy, Culture and Society. Author of various articles on energy, his most recent books are Imre Szeman and Dominic Boyer, eds., Energy Humanities: An Anthology ( Baltimore: Johns Hopkins University Press, 2017) and Imre Szeman, Jennifer Wenzel  and Patricia Yaeger, eds., Fueling Culture: 101 Words for Energy and Environment (New York: Fordham University Press, 2017).
