This page contains a basic outline of the research project of Anthony R. Percival on the uniforms of the 48th Highlanders of Canada.

Author

Anthony Percival has a Bachelor of Arts in History with the University of Toronto, is a Sergeant with the 48th Highlanders of Canada, and an Assistant Curator with the 48th Highlanders of Canada Memorial Museum.

The Regiment

The 48th Highlanders of Canada were formed in 1891 and have served in all the major upheavals of this turbulent century. Having been around for over a century it has been through all sorts of changes especially in Uniforms.

The following are a series of drawings to illustrate the changes.

In documenting the changes in uniforms I hope to understand how the Army and Canada as a whole has evolved.
