Week 1

Web page up and running.
Romantic Poems (reading for next week's tutorials) posted. See Handout. Also in pdf.

Lecture Notes: French Revolution. Listen to the Marseillaise.

Week 2

The issue with the Tuesday, 4-5 Tutorial has been solved. It will be held as originally scheduled, from 4-5, in the very same room (2119). Thank you Trudy Carroll for fixing my mistake!
Here is a list of tutorial meeting times and places. You will still have to consult the original hand-written lists posted on the bulletin board outside the history department.

Note: I understand that Goriot is not available at the Women's Bookstore. I will re-arrange our schedule so that you still have time to read it before the relevant section -- but that might take a few days.

Week 3

Two students have pointed out that course texts are online at various places:
Agnes Mroz finds Old Goriot at http://www.bartleby.com/313/1/

Amy Lofting finds the Communist Manifsto at http://csf.colorado.edu/psn/marx/Archive/1848-CM/cm.html

Thanks!
